It’s time up for the predators...

India is a land where the women goddesses are prayed, but ironically women are not given due respect... A girl is aborted because she is a female child, a girl is dropped out of school because our society thinks education is not important for girls, girls face eve-teasing and rape, a girl is burnt alive for dowry, a girl is made to sacrifice her freedom and dreams...

Finally speaking about sexual assault is no more a taboo in India now! With Tanushree Dutta, a Bollywood actor accused her co-star of sexually harassing her 10 years ago. The claims she made are denied, but it gave a lot of courage to others to raise their voice and speak out against the predators.

#Mee too movement is spreading like a fire. The entertainment industry, media and politics have been swept away by the allegations of sexual misconduct. Film Production Company has been closed; famous author and a comedian wrote an apology on Twitter.

Day by day, more and more names are coming out. Don’t know how deep is this mess? Social media has given a platform for women to express themselves and where they can be heard.

The good part is there are so many people from the media, law and Bollywood industry are supporting this movement. Hope this continues and the predators are taught a lesson. Hope women feel safe in her land.
