Jung Is On As Jung Says He Is Real Boss. The political slugfest between the Aam Aadmi Party government and Lt Governor Najeeb Jung is likely to be escalated in the wake of a letter of the LG claiming his office is the `real government of Delhi`.

New Delhi: The political slugfest between the Aam Aadmi Party government and Lt GovernorNajeeb Jung is likely to be escalated in the wake of a letter of the LG claiming his office is the real government of Delhi.

While writing to the state government calling Swati Maliwal’s appointment as Delhi Commission of Women (DCW) chief `null and void`, Jung said that the constitutional definition of government in Delhi was ‘lieutenant governor'.

He wrote, “In respect of the National Capital Territory of Delhi the 'Government' means the `Lieutenant Governor of the NCT of Delhi appointed by the President under Article 239 and designated as such under Article 239 AA of the Constitution`.”

This is latest in a host of issues over which Jung and the state government have locked horns.

Maliwal who took charge on Monday said: "I have no official communication so I can't talk about it. I am doing my work. The Delhi Government has appointed me and if the Delhi Government takes back the appointment, I will abide by it."

But he quickly added: "We'll look into the complaint. The AAP should not be afraid or get paranoid." "I am shocked that Delhi Police is trying to eliminate me," Pandey told IANS. "I was luckily pushed away by one of the volunteers." He also tweeted: "Shocked to see sad state of DelhiPolice. A Police bus tried to run over kill me from behnd while I was talkng to media.
