Nizamabad: District Collector Christina Z Chongthu attended Revenue Meet held at Khudavandpur village of Nandipet mandal on Wednesday and received complaints from public. A She directed the officials to take immediate steps to address the complaints of the villagers. The Collector visited the Village Revenue Office and inspected land records. Speaking on the occasion, the Collector stated that the revenue meets were being organised to resolve land disputes in rural areas and people should utilise the services of the Revenue Officials at the meets. She asked the villagers to submit their applications for making changes in Pahani documents, transfer of properties, alterations in land ownership documents and to settle other land related issues during the revenue meets. Ms Christina Z Chongthu also informed that several villagers applied for ration cards, Indiramma houses and pensions in the meet. She instructed the officials concerned to take steps to ensure availability of drinking water in the village during summer and to construct drainages in SC, ST colonies. She announced that after surveying government land in the village, eligible persons would be given house sites. People can submit their grievances to the officials during 'Gram Sabha', she added. MRO Sridhar and other officials were present on the occasion.
