Floral tributes paid to Vasireddy

Vijayawada: The leaders of the various political parties recalled the services of late journalist Vasireddy Satyanarayana. They paid rich tributes to him for his valuable services to the people at a condolence meeting here on Sunday. The Communist Party of India-Marxist (CPM) State secretary BV Raghavalu said that Vasireddy Satyanarayana had worked on the lines of Puchalapalli Sundaraiah and Chandra Rajeswara Rao. He asked the present generations to follow his ideology and principles. He regretted that corporate sector was dominating the present journalism. He said Vasireddy was among the few journalists who stood for journalistic values. Observing that the present day society is getting degenerated, he blamed the people for decline of values. He asked people to work for change in the societal values. CPM leaders Y Venkateswara Rao, V Vumamaheswara Rao, Ch Babu Rao, Samatha Party national president VV Krishna Rao, Akhila Bharatha Kisan Sabha vice president Kolli Nageswara Rao, CPI leader Edpuganti Nageswara Rao and Andhra Pradesh Union of Working Journalists leader Ambati Anjaneyulu were also present. Earlier they paid floral tributes to the portrait of late Vasireddy Satyanarayana.
