Kudos To Sachin, The God Of Indian Cricket. I have seen him several times at Shri Sathya Sai baba’s ashram. To recognize divinity needs divinity in oneself. I can dare declare that he is saturated with divinity.

During the late fifties, Indian cricket was passing through a rough weather especially when our teams were touring abroad. Getting acclimatized to the foreign weather, facing furious pacers of foreign lands were herculean tasks. Those days of cricket was without helmets and a few other guards.

I very well remember a match at the central college grounds in Bangalore (which used to be the first class match venues for all the visiting teams) where a leg spinner from Madras who came as a tail-ender batsman almost ran away from the crease when a West-Indian fast bowler was at the top of his bowling run-up.

Such was the fear created by the fast bowlers who used to bowl to the batsmen who would face the ball sans helmet. This plight of our team would result in getting all out for paltry scores at home and abroad on many occasions.

Victory across the sea was a dream come true for most of the teams in the bygone era. I recall the terror created by a west Indian fast bowler which smashed the former Indian captain Nari contractor’s skull which was almost a fatal blow for him.

The sight of victories came much later when young talents bloomed. Then a star was born to change the history of cricket in India. It can be undoubtedly concluded that he was sent by God. Sachin Tendulkar, to all Indian cricket fraternity is the God of Cricket. His willow has spoken many a times to answer his critics. Many say he is humility personified.

I have seen him several times at Shri Sathya Sai baba’s ashram. To recognize divinity needs divinity in oneself. I can dare declare that he is saturated with divinity.

Otherwise, how can this tiny little master blaster pulverize the fiery attack of fast bowlers all over the world? It is time to salute this little master who created history in Indian cricket and brought laurels to our country.

Needless to state that he is in the hearts of every cricket loving Indian. The fact that he has decided to hang his boots brings tears in all who Love him.

This tribute is only one in million who have admired him from the heart of their hearts. Let us hope that he will invest his divine energy post his retirement in serving the people of India.
