Google offers Rs 1.8 crore to IIT Patna's Ashutosh Agarwal
In India, it has been a dream for many students who complete their higher education to look for highest paying jobs from Apple, Oracle, Microsoft, Google, Adobe, and Facebook.
BENGALURU: In India, it has been a dream for many students who complete their higher education to look for highest paying jobs from Apple, Oracle, Microsoft, Google, Adobe, and Facebook. IIT students have again proved that such dream can be a reality by grabbing the highest paid jobs from the aforementioned firms. Early this year, an IIT Kharagpur student, Vatsalysa Singh bagged an INR 2 crore per annum package with Microsoft. Later this year, other IIT students of the country have also been awarded with such highest paying jobs. Business Insider interrogates that life is merry, once the milestone of entering into the IITs of the country is achieved!!
Here are such stories of IITians achievements in the past two years
* IIT Student, Abhishek Pant Bags Rs 2-crore in Google
22-Year-old Abhishek Pant, a final year computer science student of IIT Kharagpur bagged a job at google Inc. with a package of 2 crore per annum in 2014. He was born and brought up in the US and his family moved to Pune in 2006. He was the topper in the CBSE 10th exams with aggregate of 97.6 %. He had to initially clear two technical rounds over the phone for his 3 months internship. During the end of his internship he had to undergo few rounds of interviews to get a job at Google. He successfully managed to crack all the rounds and get into the design solutions cell. The company asked him to join the company on September, next year.
* IIT-Indore Student, Gaurav Agarwal gets Rs 1.7 crore
Gaurav Agarwal, a student of IIT-Indore, was doing his final year B.Tech in Computer Science and Engineering bagged a job with Google at an annual package of 1.7 crore. Agarwal attended the interview held at IIT-I campus. He had taken the online test to pass the first round of interview, which he passed successfully. After passing the test, Google called him for the face-to-face interview in Gurgaon’s office. He cleared the interview as well and got an offer to work in Google’s office at California as software engineer. Gaurav said that he will join Google after his academic session with IIT-Indore.
* IIT-Bombay girl, Astha Agarwal Gets Rs 2.1 crore
Astha Agarwal joined department of computer science engineering at IIT-Bombay after securing rank of 90 in all India JEE 2011 exams. The IIT student from Jaipur got selected by Facebook to work as a software engineer. She bags an annual salary package of 2.1 crore. Later, she realized that she was the highest among all, FB offered. She also got an offer from Google but she preferred to join FB because FB has lesser employees than Google and has higher growing opportunities.
* Yet to graduate—IIT Patna’s Ashutosh Agarwal Bags 1.8 crore from Google
Ashutosh Agarwal, a 21-year old computer science student from IIT-Patna was offered an annual salary package of 1.8 crore by the Google Inc. During his 7th semester he got an offer to work as an intern for three months at Google New York. After his internship, he was awarded the offer to work at Google office at North American states. He had to undergo rigorous steps of interviews at New York. It was the highest package ever offered in IIT-Patna.
* DTU’s Chetan Kakkar Offered Rs 1.27 crore from Google
Apart from IIT, it was the first that a Delhi Student, Chetan Kakkar from Delhi Technological University (DTU) to receive an offer of 1.27 crore approximately per annum. Chetan is expected to join Google, California after his study this year.
* Four Students from IIT-Kanpur Bag Rs 1.5 crore from Oracle
Again, four students from department of computer science of IIT-Kanpur managed to bag 1.5 crore per annum in 2015. This time the offer was provided by Oracle. Similarly 5 students from IIT-Bombay had also received an offer of 1.42 crore annual salary packages from Facebook way back in 2014. The huge salary package offered was included with 1.5-1.75 lakh US dollar as take away salary to the addition of Employee Stock Option Plan (ESOP) and bonus.
