As to what looks like a massive development, the Telangana Governemnt stated that a substantial number of firms are now coming forward to offer 4G technology to make Hyderabad completely equipped with Wi-Fi facility. The officials are now busy drafting an action plan to this effect along with some more involving the participation of several international consultants, Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation, Hyderabad Metropolitan Development Authority, Hyderabad Metro Water Supply and Sewerage Board, Andhra Pradesh Industrial Infrastructure Corporation, Electricity, Revenue, Metro Rail and Sports departments respectively.

The Government hints at major revamping plans underway to make Hyderabad and the rest of Telangana well nurtured with technology and daily utilities. K. Taraka Rama Rao, Minister for Information Technology also proposed an exclusive institute for innovative training to endow the budding engineers in colleges so that they can work towards meeting the global standards to uplift the State in totality. Rao also recommended a brand new ascendancy to overlook the Information Technology Investment Region (ITIR) project that will create a hub for electronic hardware manufacturing units.

Adding to the update with the ongoing progress, Harpreet Singh, secretary of the information technology and communications department reported to the Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao that 90 percent of the total IT turnover for the State comes from Hyderabad alone with an estimate of Rs. 62.293 Crore in exact figures. City also being the second largest IT exporter in the country, Singh said that there was a lot of prospect by enhancing the software and hardware sectors.

Delhi saw a similar liaison happen last week when Tata Docomo announced partnership with New Delhi Municipal Corporation (NDMC) to provide public Wi-Fi services in the Connaught Place (CP) from the first week of July. The deployment of the proposed Wi-Fi spot in CP is aimed to ensure a nonstop fast connectively in the inner and outer circles of the area. As per the statement, the first 20 minutes of the services would be free of cost followed by flexible buyer options via scratch cards that start at INR 20 for 40 minutes and so on.
