Ranga Rao observed that by constructing canals to fill the surrounding water resources, the water requirements of Thirumalayapalem, Kusumanchi and Khammam rural could be fulfilled easily.
But the government was negligent in collecting land for constructing canals, he added. CPI (ML-ND) district leaders K Rangaiah, G Venkateshwarlu, G Archaiah and C Y Pullaiah were present along with others.
