Valentine's Day marks protests in Hyderabad

With Valentine’s Day celebrations taking place on Sunday, protests took place as Bhajarang Dal and Vishwa Hindu Parishad activists staged demonstrations against the day at several places in Hyderabad.

Terming the Valentine's Day celebrations as the western culture, the Bhajarang Dal activists held protests and burnt the effigies of Valentine's Day greeting cards across the city. Police took the protesters into custody and deployed extra forces in crowded areas in the city.
