The Union cabinet has approved the amendment of Central list of OBCs for Andhra Pradesh and Telangana as advised by the National Commission for backward classes (NCBC).
New Delhi: The Union cabinet has approved the amendment of Central list of OBCs for Andhra Pradesh and Telangana as advised by the National Commission for backward classes (NCBC). The NCBC had recommended 35 changes recommended for Andhra Pradesh & 86 New Entries for Telangana which will be notified soon.
This will enable these castes/communities to avail benefits of reservation in government posts and central educational institutions. The cabinet also approved major recommendations of the Sub-Group of Chief Ministers on Rationalisation of Centrally-Sponsored Schemes (CSSs).
