Hyderabad: A steady stream of victims is thronging the police stations to narrate the criminal activities of Maoist-turned-savage gangster Nayeemuddin.

Employees of Hindustan Petroleum, working in Hyderabad, approached the Bhongir rural police station in Nalgonda district to complain that the Nayeem’s gang had grabbed their land at Boinpally in Nalgonda district.

According to police, the employees had bought a land a decade ago by paying money in instalments. They had even divided the land into individual plots.

“One day when we went to the area to see our plots, a gang member Posam Srinivas threatened us. He asked us not to come again to this place.

When we resisted, Srinivas said this land was already bought by Bhaisahab and asked us to hand over our original sale deeds. Since we are employees, we did not dare to contest and did not file any complaint,” according to the complaint lodged by the employees.

Meanwhile, a retired police officer Shivanand Reddy, whose name cropped up in local media over his links with gangster, clarified that he had nothing to do with the gang or its members.

Since he worked for a brief period in Nalgonda district in the administration wing, he had no knowledge of the gangster’s activities in Nalgonda district.

The SIT investigation had revealed that hundreds of acres of land, grabbed by the gangster, was registered in the name of one or other person close to Nayeem.
