The Government of Telangana has come to a conclusion to carve out a total of 27 districts out of the 10 district with the addition of 17 new districts proposed.

​Hyderabad: The Government of Telangana has come to a conclusion to carve out a total of 27 districts out of the 10 district with the addition of 17 new districts proposed.

Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao had a marathon six-hour meeting on Wednesday to discuss the Cabinet Sub-Committee report on the proposed new districts.

According to the report, the number of proposed district is 27. The number of revenue divisions to be increased from 44 to 74. The number of mandals will be increased from 459 to 533.

Cabinet Sub-Committee Chairman Mahamood Ali, Chief Secretary Rajeev Sharma, CCLA Raymond Peter, Revenue Principal Secretary Pradeep Chandra and other senior officials took part in the meeting.

The proposed districts: 1 Manchiryala, 2 Adilaabad,3 Nirmal, 4 Karimnagar, 5 Peddapally, 6 Jagityal, 7 Mahabubabad, 8 Warangal, 9 Hanmakonda,

10 Bhoopalpally, 11 Siddipet, 12 Medak, 13 Sangareddy, 14 Nizamabad, 15 Kamareddy, 16 Nalgonda, 17 Suryapet, 18 Yadadri, 19 Mahbubnagar, 20 Nagarkarnool,

21 Vanaparthy, 22 Khammam, 23 Kothagudem, 24 Hyderabad (Old), 25 Vikarabad (Ranga Reddy), 26 Shamshabad (RR) and 27 Malkajgiri (RR).
