Hyderabad: Finance Minister Etala Rajender on Tuesday claimed that the incident of two youth attempting suicide in Karimnagar district was not linked to either TRS party of Telangana Government.

Speaking to media persons after participating in the Teachers' Day Celebrations in Karimnagar, the minister expressed concern over the suicide attemp by Mahankali Srinivas (27) and Yalala Parushramulu (26) of Gudem village of Bejjanki mandal from Siddipet district before the office of TRS legislator Rasmayi Balakishan. However, he claimed that the suicide attempt was due to personal reasons and difference among youth of Gudem village. He accused the opposition parties of playing politics on the issue.

Etala said that the TRS Government was doing justice with Dalits and all other sections of the society. He said Telangana has emerged as a role model for the entire country in implementing welfare schemes for Dalits, BC and Tribals. He said that the State Government had constituted a Fast Track Court to try the case of rape of a Dalit girl in Chellore of Karimnagar district and the culprits were convicted for 20 years imprisonment after the trial which concluded in nearly 20 months.
