Ramagundam: The sensitisation of farmers on crop diversification and high yielding programme was organised at Malkapur on Tuesday, wherein 73 farmers attended. During this occasion, vegetable seeds were distributed among the farmers.

NTPC-Ramagundam under its CSR-CD has launched the 4-day sensitisation of farmers on crop diversification and high yielding programme from Monday (July 23) to July 26, for Project Affected Villages (PAV).

Conducted under the supervision of Maharshi Dave from Farm Bridge, Gujrat, the programme covers six PAVs – Jangam, Allur, Malkapur, Elkalapalli, Laxmipuram and Karnalla. During these sensitisation programmes, farmers were told on scientific farming, selection of crop, methods of farming, periodicity and marketing, etc.

Speaking on the occasion, Rafiqul Islam, AGM (HR-CSR) said that NTPC is willing to support best facilities in farming to nearby villagers. NTPC CSR officials and villagers were present on the occasion.
