Khammam: Congress leaders on Friday condemned the TRS chief K Chandrasekhar Rao’s derogatory remark against their party president Congress president Rahul Gandhi. The Congress party workers take out a protest march and burned the effigy of KCR here at Yellandu Cross road in Khammam.

Speaking on the occasion, the Congress leader Potla Nageshwar Rao alleged that K Chandrashekar Rao is the real buffoon who dissolved the Assembly before the completion of his term. “He do not have any capability to run the government that is why he dissolved the Assembly fearing that Congress party is gaining ground in the State,” he added.

“Being in politics, if KCR continues using abusive language against other party leaders, he would face consequences in the coming days. People are watching his every move and are ready to teach him befitting lesson in upcoming elections,” he warned.

Another party leader Puvalla Durga Prasad said, it is the Congress party which took initiation for giving separate statehood for Telangana, the TRS president KCR along with his family bowed in front of Sonia Gandhi in gratitude for giving Telangana. Forgetting that, KCR is abusing the Nehru’s family who were striving hard for the well-being of the people, he added.

The Congress leaders appealed the party activists to participate in the Bharath Bandh protest in large number and make it grand success. The bandh call is given by the AICC on September 10 in protest against the BJP government for increasing the petrol and diesel prices.

The Congress party leaders VV Appa Rao, Tajuddin, D Bhadraiah, Balagangadhar Tilak, Radha Kishore, Md. Ishaq, R Nageshwara Rao, Veerabhadram, Y Krishna, Deepak Chowdhary, A K Rama Rao, R Venkatramaiah, V Shankar Rao, P Manjula, M Vekatesham and D Tagore joined the protest.
