Hyderabad: Telangana Martyr Srikantha Chary's mother Kasoju Shankaramma on Monday demanded a ticket for NRI Appireddy, in case the TRS does not want to give ticket to her from Huzurnagar Assembly constituency.
Huzurnagar is among the 14 seats, where the TRS is yet to announce candidates. While the exercise is going on for selection of candidates, Shankaramma said that she was confident that caretaker Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao would give ticket to her. She said that if the caretaker Chief Minister does not want to give ticket to her then the ticket should be given to NRI Appireddy.
There were reports that caretaker Energy Minister G Jagadish Reddy was trying for his NRI friend Sydi Reddy. Shankaramma said that she would not keep quite if she is denied ticket. Shankaramma contested unsuccessfully from Huzurnagar Assembly constituency earlier. TPCC Chief N Uttam Kumar Reddy is the MLA from Huzurnagar.
