The DEO said that after the election notification, certain guidelines have been issued by the ECI that no government property should have any kind of wall paintings, posters, flexies, hoardings, arches and various other communication channels with regard to political activities.
As per the guidelines, the GHMC has already initiated an action after the poll notification and removed 80 per cent of posters, flexies, hoardings etc., deploying all the 18,000 sanitation workers duly coordinating with Vigilance & Enforcement Wing, where all the officials concerned have personally monitored the programme held in the last two days.
Dana Kishore along with GHMC Additional Commissioner Chauhan and Hyderabad district Joint Collector and In-charge of Model Code of Conduct Ravi conducted a review meeting with the officials concerned on how to go ahead with the process at the GHMC head office.
The DEO requested all the Heads of Departments to coordinate with their counter parts to remove the said publicity material from government properties on priority, and specific instructions have been listed for the action to be initiated within 24, 48 and 72 hours duly sending the report to the Election Commission about the action taken during the period.
