Asifabad: Rich tributes paid to Army Jawan Rajesh Dakua, who was killed in cross-firing with ultras in Srinagar on Monday. His body was arrived at the helipad ground here on Thursday and a large crowd along with district-level officers, public representatives and villages had received the body.
The final rites of the 43-year-old jawan were performed at his native Ravindra Nagar in Chintalmanepalli mandal in Asifabad Asifabad district on the same day. The funeral was carried out through the main streets in the mandal headquarters.
Asifabad district Superintendent of Police Malla Reddy, Sirpur MLA Koneru Konappa , public representatives, leaders of various parties and villagers and Army officials were present.
