Arekapudi inaugurates water reservoir

Madhapur: Legislator Arekapudi Gandhi and Corporator JagdishwarGoud on Thursday inaugurated an ELSR drinking water reservoir in AyyappaSociety.The reservoir was built by Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWSSB).Addressing a gathering on the occasion, Arekapudi said that the TRS government was working with the aim of providing drinking water to every house through the Mission Bhagiratha project, which is the cherished dream of Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao.
Arekapudi said the Mission Bhagiratha project would ensure a permanent solution to the water problem in the Serilingampally constituency. It will provide safe and protected water throughtaps to help solve the issue of contamination plaguing the residents for years, he said, while expressing confidence that it would end their woes.The MLA stated that 16 out of 18 reservoirs in the constituency were completed. Their junction valves will be linked to provide water to everyone.
He said the other two reservoirs would be ready by the month-end. Priority will be given to the areas that don’t have any network or where people are facing water contamination.Arekapudi appealed to the residents of all colonies to take tap connections to newly-laid pipeline, while advising them not to waste water. He asked officials to complete CC roads after residents take the tap connections.
