Nobel laureates to deliver lecture at UoH
Prof. Erwin Neher (Nobel laureate in Physiology for Medicine 1991), and Prof. Hiroshi Amano, Nobel laureate in Physics 2014, to deliver lectures at University of Hyderabad (UoH) on Wednesday and Thursday.
Hyderabad: Prof. Erwin Neher (Nobel laureate in Physiology for Medicine 1991), and Prof. Hiroshi Amano, Nobel laureate in Physics 2014, to deliver lectures at University of Hyderabad (UoH) on Wednesday and Thursday.
Prof. Hiroshi Amano will speak on Blue LEDs and transformative electronics for developing sustainable smart society on Wednesday at Savitribai Phule Auditorium (formerly DST). Prof. Erwin Neher will lecture on Ion Channels: Th eir discovery and their role in Biomedicine and Pharmacology, on Thursdayat the Auditorium of School of Life Sciences.
The UoH proposed to host the Hyderabad lecture series with an aim to bring very eminent persons to address on topics of wide interest and contemporary issues at several locations in the city. Through this series of lectures a large cross-section of the society of the city will be exposed to the leading minds of the world.
