Hyderabad: The Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials on Friday conducted searches in the house and offices of Telangana Government Junior Colleges Lecturers Association (TGJCLA) President Perikiti Madhusudhan Reddy (53).

A case of Disproportionate Assets against him under sections 13 (1) (b) r/w 13 (2) of Prevention of Corruption Act 1988 was registered against him on Thursday.

He was alleged of amassing illegal wealth through corrupt and dubious means. The officials carried searches till late night on Friday at the office in Nampally and his residential premises, his other family members houses, and suspected benamis at Hyderabad, Chilmailwar, Kodangal and Kurnool.

The ACB officials said during the searches done so far, it was revealed that Madhusudhan Reddy has amassed assets disproportionate to his known sources of income and the same are being assessed and the searches were in progress.

According to sources they reportedly found several documents worth Rs 2 crore during the searches. Meanwhile, reacting on the searches, Madhusudhan Reddy alleged that he was targeted by some persons by hatching a conspiracy against him.

He said he will reveal their names at an appropriate time and denied the charges of amassing disproportionate assets on benamis name.

He challenged openly that he is ready to go to jail if anybody proves that he and his family members amassed illegal wealth through corrupt and dubious means.
