Ban plastic bottles: Collector M Prashanthi
District Collector M Prashanthi instructed the officials and people to ban the usage of plastic items while addressing Prajavani program at the Collector’s conference hall in Nirmal on Monday.

Later speaking on the occasion, she told both the public and the officials not to reuse plastic bottles in government institutions, hotels, in their residences, and to stop using all types of plastic items. The Collector distributed steel bottles to the officials and asked them to use steel bottles instead of plastic in the government offices.
Later she received petitions from people of different areas of the district. Edla Bheemanna of Kubeer mandal requested the Collector to deposit Rythu Bandhu amount in his bank account. Vijaya of Lumpa village of Nirmal mandal requested to issue pattadar passbook to her while Poshetty of Beernandi village of Khanapur mandal wanted the Collector to provide a tricycle to him. Ramesh of Mudhole requested the Collector to sanction pension to him and Gangadhar of Dhani village of Sarangapur mandal urged the Collector to solve his land-related problem. The Collector immediately instructed the officials concerned to take necessary action in this regard.
