Bangaru Telangana possible with rural development: Indrakaran
Nirmal: Bangaru Telangana is possible only with the development of rural areas, said Endowment, Forest and Environment Minister A Indrakaran Reddy. He inaugurated panchayat building at Chityal village in Nirmal district on Wednesday, which was constructed with an estimation cost of Rs 28 lakhs.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister stated that State and country can develop only when the villages develop. Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao had introduced new Panchayat Raj Law to provide Rs 10 lakhs to villages with a population below 500 and Rs 20 lakhs to villages with a population of more than 500 for the development of the panchayats. The Minister urged the sarpanches to utilise the funds to develop the panchayats.
To prevent water scarcity in future, the water from Kaleshwaram Project will be supplied through Annaram, Sundilla, Ellampali Mid Maneru to Pochampad (SRSP). Due to insufficient rainfall, the forest coverage has been decreased. Referring to the acute water problem in Chennai in Tamil Nadu State, where water has been transported through trains, Minister Reddy requested the people to raise plants to prevent such situation in the State in future.
CC roads were constructed with an estimation cost of Rs 55 lakhs; 71 double bedroom houses were constructed at a cost of Rs 3.57 crores; individual toilets and many other development works have been completed in Chityal village. Taking inspiration from Chityal village, every Sarpanch should work for the development of their respective villages, he said.
Minister Indrakaran Reddy assured the villagers of sanctioning funds for the construction of community building for Padmashali and SC communities. Keeping in view of frequent road accidents on Mancherial – Kalyan National Highway, road dividers have been sanctioned for a stretch of 675 km by the Central government, he added.
Later Minister Indrakaran Reddy cut a cake on TRS Working President KT Rama Rao's birthday and later planted saplings in the premises of village panchayat.
Zilla Parishad Chairperson Koripelli Vijaya Lakshmi asked everyone to plant saplings under Haritha Haram programme for the welfare of future generations and to provide healthy environment.
Chityal village Sarpanch Ramesh Reddy assured of developing the village on lines of Ankapur.
FACS chairman Ramakishan Reddy, Chinna Reddy, ZPTC Jeevan Reddy, ZP co-opt member Subash Rao, Mallikarjuna Reddy, Mutyam Reddy and others were present.
