Charminar: Panic continues on day 2 of lockdown

Charminar: Even on the 2nd day of lockdown, the panic continued among the denizens who scrambled to purchase and stock essentials fearing worse to come.

Following the government announcement that a lockdown would continue till March 31, panic prevailed over citizens who rushed to kirana stores to stock the groceries and essentials on Monday, which continued even on Tuesday.

To allay the fears of denizens, the Telangana DGP informed that the stores supplying essentials would remain open till 6 pm, but the situation in major markets like Mir-Alam, Madannapet and wholesale points witnessed heavy rush as that of Monday.
