She told the elections officers to work with coordination in the upcoming ZPTC and MPTCelections like they worked for Assembly elections.

The elections will be held in three phases on May 6, 10 and 14 in the district. In the first phase, elections for 51 MPTC and seven ZPTC seats in 146 gram panchayats of Khanapur, Kadam, Dasturabad, Mamada, Lakshmanachanda and Dilawarpur, mandals will be held on May 6.

In the second phase, elections for 53 MPTC and six ZPTC seats in 119 gram panchayats of Nirmal, Soan, Sarangapur, Narsapur (G), Lokeshwaram and Kuntala mandals will be held on May 10.

During the third phase, elections for 52 MPTC and five ZPTC seats in 131 gram panchayats in Kubeer, Bhainsa, Tanuru, Mudhole and Basara mandals will be held on May 14, the Collector explained.

She instructed the officials to arrange drinking water, tent, ORS packets in view of hot summer and tricycle for physically challenged persons at every polling station. She asked to dial 1950 toll free number if any impropriety.

The officials concerned were told to seize unaccounted amount more than Rs 50,000 and above six full bottles liquor if found from people.

District Superintendent of Police Shashidhar Raju said the police department had made all security arrangement s for the smooth conduct of territorial constituency elections. There are 871 polling stations at 423 places in Nirmal district and of this, police identified 325 as problematic, he said.

Joint Collector Bhaskar Rao, District Panchayat Officer Srinivas, Excise Officer Nagender Reddy, District Horticulture Officer Sharath Kumar, District Manager Nadeem Khan, DPRO Kareem and MPDOs, Tahsildars NNT, FST teams were present.
