Congress will keep every promise it made: Renuka

Khammam: Congress Khammam Parliamentary candidate Renuka Chowdhury stated that All India Congress Committee president and young leader Rahul Gandhi's election manifesto was historically significant. She added that if Congress comes to power at the Centre, it will give annual support income of Rs 6,000 to every poor family in the country every month.

Renuka actively participated in campaign in Thallada, Kalluru, Penubelli, Vemsuru and Sathupalli mandals on Wednesday. She said the party cadre was acting very responsible and carrying the weight of the campaign on their shoulders. They were spreading the Congress manifesto to all sections of the community and people through public meetings.

During a road show in Sathupalli constituency on the day, Renuka alleged both the Central and the State governments have completely ignored the welfare of farmers. "Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao who did not waive the farmers loans was buying Congress MLAs by offering huge amount of money," she alleged.

On the occasion, she appealed to all Khammam voters to vote for Congress and added that, "As a daughter of Khammam district, I have done a lot of development during my term previously and I will keep doing it if given a chance again."

Former Minister Sambani Chandrashekar, legislator Mecha Nageswar Rao, former MLC Potla Nageswar Rao, Telugu Desam district president Ramanadham, Congress district president Durga Prasad, former market committee chairman Manukonda Radha Kishore and other Congress and TDP leaders participated in the campaign.
