Huzurnagar (Suryapet): Superintendent of Police R Venkateshwarlu stated that police department did not favour any party earlier and would not favour any party in bypolls too. On Tuesday, along with Kodad DSP Sudhrashan Reddy and other police officials, he carried out vehicles inspection at police checkpost located at NSP canal on Chilukur-Huzurnagar road in view of Huzurnagar by-election.

Speaking on the occasion, he advised police to carryout vehicle inspection without creating troubles to commuters. Later, he inspected the modernisation works of Huzurnagar police station.

The SP informed that like earlier this time too department would maintain law and order very strictly during the bypolls, slated to be conducted on October 21.

As many as nine check-posts each one at Ramapuram crossroads, Buggamadaram, Matampally bridge, Pulichintala project, Mahankaligudem, Huzurnagar NSP Canal, Gaddipally, Chillakallu and Kandibanda villages were established in the limits of Huzurnagar constituency to avoid liquor and money distribution.

As many as seven flying squads, four video viewing teams were established at 50 sensitive polling stations, he added.

Four companies of paramilitary, one company of State police and services of 50 police officials are going to be utilised for the election bandobast, he informed. Following the norms of Election Commission, barricades were arranged up to 100 meters at nomination centres in Huzurnagar.
