Denied money, alcoholic kills wife in Shabad

Shabad: A person allegedly killed his wife over a dispute, at Hanuma Naik Thanda, affiliated to Maddhur Panchyat.

According to police, the accused Kethavath Thav who addicted to alcohol, has been harassing the victim Buddamma (35) for money. The dispute erupted when the couple returned home on Tuesday. He thrashed her with a stick. The victim succumbed to injuries on the same night. To hush up the issue, the accused covered a blanket and created that she was sleeping. When other family members found her dead, they reported the matter to the police. Brother of the victim Angothu Das alleged that his sister was killed by her husband, who had been torturing her for money. The body was handed over to the family after post-mortem conducted at Chevella Government Hospital.
