The Enforcement Directorate (ED) officials on Tuesday took Nowhera Shaikh, Managing Director of Heera Gold Group into their custody for seven days from Chenchalguda Jail.

The Enforcement Directorate (ED) officials on Tuesday took Nowhera Shaikh, Managing Director of Heera Gold Group into their custody for seven days from Chenchalguda Jail.

They have also taken Biju Thomas and Mouli Thomas into their custody. After intensifying the investigation in the Heera Gold scam, ED officials filed a custody petition in the Nampally court in which the court gave permission to take Nowhera Shaikh and other two aides of her into 7 days custody.

ED sleuths are quizzing her at their office in Basheerbagh on the suspicion of indulging in money laundering. Earlier apart from Hyderabad, cheating cases were registered against Shaik in various states across India including Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra, after several investors approached police alleging that they were duped.
