Government transfers Telangana Police Academy Director VK Singh

Hyderabad: The Director of Telangana State Police Academy, VK Singh has been transferred by the government of Telangana and was instructed to report to the DGP office at the earliest.
The government of Telangana on Sunday released an advisory stating that the Director shall immediately report to the DGP office, though the reason for transfer was not clear nor the position to be declared was mentioned in the order.
VV Srinivasa Rao, who was posted as a Chairman of Telangana State police recruitment board has been appointed as Director of Police Academy. Earlier on June 24, the Director of Police Academy had tendered his resignation citing multiple reasons and since then there were speculations that the director was eyeing for the post of DGP, but it was not clear.
However, with his transfer order issued by the Government of Telangana, one thing is for sure, i.e. not everything is hunkydory in the top-level of the police department, said an official on condition of anonymity.
