Heavy rains batter Rangareddy district
Thanks to the vigorous Southwest Monsoon, heavy rains occurred at isolated places in Medchal-Malkajgiri, Ranga Reddy, Medak, Siddipet and Hyderabad districts during the last 24 hours, ending at 8.30 am on Wednesday.

The Met department bulletin said rains occurred at most places across the state. Substantial amounts of rainfall (in cm) were recorded at Shamirpet (Medchal-Malkajgiri) 11, Yacharam (RR) 10, Ibrahimpatnam ( RR), Chegunta (Medak) 9 each, Bejjanki (Siddipet) 8, Hyderabad Airport 7, Manchal (RR) 7, Dubbak (Siddipet), Jagadevpur (Siddipet), Hakimpet IAF Centre (Medchal-Malkajgiri) 6 each, Gajwel (Siddipet), Medchal (Medchal- Malkajgiri), Golkonda (Hyderabad) 5 each, Kondapak (Siddipet), Nanganur (Siddipet), Saroornagar (RR) 4 each and Dundigul (Medchal-Malkajgiri), Ramayampet (Medak), Maheswaram (RR), Hayathnagar (RR) and Medak (Medak) 3 each.
A 2 cm rain was recorded in Sangareddy, Tandur, Mominpet, Vikarabad, Warangal, Doulatabad, Sadasivpet, Nawabpet, Marpalle, Shadnagar, Mirdoddi and Kondapur.
