Earlier, the Congress had called for Chalo Secretariat to submit representations to the Chief Minister and Ministers on the problems being faced by the people.

However, police reached the residences of the leaders in the morning and prevented them from stepping out. Pickets have been arranged at the residences of them.

Meanwhile in his message, CLP leader Mallu Bhatti Vikramarka said that police have been preventing the opposition from doing its duty in exposing the failures of the government.

He wanted to know as to whether leaders would be arrested because they wanted to give representations to the Chief Minister and Ministers. He said that they were elected representatives and not terrorists.
