Hyderabad: With no positive response from the government on the striking employees, the TSRTC JAC has decided to take up 'Save RTC' rallies at all the bus depots in the State on November 23.

An emergency meeting of RTC JAC was held on Friday in which the JAC leaders lamented that there was no response from the government even after the workers expressed their willingness to join duties. The JAC leaders on November 20 had urged the State government to create an atmosphere prior to the strike so that the workers can rejoin duties.

The government has not responded positively to the JAC's decision to rejoin duties. JAC convener E Ashwathama Reddy asked the workers not to lose hope and participate in rallies on Saturday."There is no response from the government or the management for the last two days.

As part of continuing strike, we will take up 'Save RTC' rallies. Let us take forward the agitation more vigorously. Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has agreed that losses are because of diesel prices and not because of workers. Government can impose moratorium on loans by utilising properties and save RTC," said Ashwathama Reddy.

The JAC leader further said that they would wait until the Chief Minister KCR takes a decision on recalling the workers. The leaders would meet once again after the government clears its stand and announce future course of action.

The workers had expected that the government would take a decision on Friday after court's judgement on privatisation of routes. However, the government has not taken any decision even after getting decision in its favour from the court. The workers on the other hand are trying to join duties at some places but the authorities did not allow them to enter into the offices.

A group of RTC workers tried to enter office in Warangal but the police personnel present there stopped the workers stating that they have not received any instructions from the officials.
