The leaders of CPM party along with RTC workers raised anti-government slogans during the programme and stated that the government was responsible for the RTC strike and the unrest in the State.
They slammed Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao and the State government for not calling the RTC unions for talks through the strike entered day 18. They alleged that the Chief Minister was ruling the State like a dictator.
They added that from Wednesday onwards they would take up innovative protest programmes in Bhadrachalam support of the strike, and urged the temporary staff to join them in the protest.
The agitating leader stood in the Godavari waters for over an hour raising anti-government slogans. CPM leaders Das, Charan, Rama Chary, Krishna and RTC workers took part in the innovative protest.
