Telangana Junior Doctors from Osmania Medical College staged a protest holding "say no to NMC" placards.

T JUDA members from Osmania Dr Naresh, Dr Vamshi and others demanded that the Centre withdraw the bill, which they say got a few clauses like NEXT exam, fee regulation on only 50 per cent of seats in private medical colleges etc. that are not in the interest of doctors fraternity.

The National Commission Bill of 2019 aims to repeal and replace the Medical Council Act of 1956, which had stated the responsibilities and the functions of the Medical Council of India (MCI).
