Ramannapet (Yadadri-Bhongir): A granite-laden truck had created panic at Indrapalanagaram village on Wednesday late night when the truck towed towards the roadside houses after hitting a lorry coming in the opposite direction.

According to villagers, a granite-laden truck of Rajasthan State heading towards Chityal from Bhongir lost control and towed towards the house of Vallala Illaiah after hitting a lorry coming in the opposite direction at Indrapalanagaram village of Ramannapet mandal in the district. In this incident, the truck driver Danishk suffered critical injuries and was shifted to Kamineni Hospital in Narketpally after the first aid at government hospital in Ramannapet. However, Danishk died on Thursday while undergoing treatment. Lorry drivers Roop Singh and Rajiv Singh also suffered injuries in the accident.

There would have been heavy loss to property and human life had truck not stopped near the compound wall of the house after hitting an electric pole located near the house of Illaiah or if electric wires snapped on the truck after hitting the electric pole.

It learnt that the family members of Illaiah slept in open adjacent to the compound wall. After receiving the information, local SI CH Sailu rushed to the spot. The police registered a case and took up the investigation.
