Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella’s father and former bureaucrat B N Yugandhar passed away here on Friday.
Hyderabad: Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella's father and former bureaucrat B N Yugandhar passed away here on Friday. He was suffering from age-related ailments for a brief period.
The 82-year-old Yugandhar had served in the Prime Minister's Office during late PV Narasimha Rao's regime and as Director of Lal Bahadur Shastri National Academy of Administration at Mussoorie. Satya Nadella is the only child to him.
A 1962 batch IAS officer Yugandhar had served as secretary in the Union Rural Development Ministry. As member of the erstwhile Planning Commission, he was instrumental in getting an entire chapter on disability issues included in the Plan, official sources said.
Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao and IT and Industry Minister KT Rama Rao condoled the death of Yugandhar. The CM said he was a sincere and honest officer known for simplicity.
