YSR govt's harassment led to suicide: Naidu
Telugu Desam Party (TDP) national president N Chandrababu Naidu condoled the demise of former Assembly Speaker Kodela Siva Prasada Rao and said it was due to government harassment that the veteran leader committed suicide.
Hyderabad: Telugu Desam Party (TDP) national president N Chandrababu Naidu condoled the demise of former Assembly Speaker Kodela Siva Prasada Rao and said it was due to government harassment that the veteran leader committed suicide.
Addressing the party workers and media at NTR Trust Bhavan here on Monday night, Naidu said never in the country such a situation had happened.
"He was attacked mentally, financially and false cases were foisted against him. Yet, the shameless government says Rao was beaten by his son leading to his suicide.
Even some media channels are abetting criminalisation," he said and gave a call to party workers not to commit suicide if put to harassment by the ruling party, but fight.
"It was height of humiliation. We will release documents in a day or two to prove how the government harassed Kodela," he said.
