Jangareddigudem: A seminar of oil palm farmers held at Taduvayi in the mandal on Friday demanded that the state government announce minimum support price of Rs 12,000 per tonne of oil palm bunches. The meet was organized jointly by Oil palm farmers association and AP Rytu Sangham. Oil plam farmers leader A Venkateswararao presided over the convention.

Speaking on the occasion, chief guest and Rytu Sangham state president Y Kesavarao called upon the farmers to wage unified fight to achieve remunerative price for their produce. He said the state government should offer the same price given by the Telangana state. The meet also resolved seeking government to modernize the new oil palm factory at Pedavegi.
