PCB officials inspect Polavaram dumping yard
As per the directive of National Green Tribunal, members of National Pollution Control Board accompanied by officials and people inspected dumping yard of Polavaram project on Thursday.
Polavaram: As per the directive of National Green Tribunal, members of National Pollution Control Board accompanied by officials and people inspected dumping yard of Polavaram project on Thursday.
The officials were asked to maintain the dumping yard in such a manner that there is no threat to health and existence of people.
As one crore cubic metres of earth work was involved in the project, the dumping yard should be maintained far away from residential locality. The officials were asked to submit detailed report on four issues pointed out by the team during its previous visit.
Speaking on the occasion, Collector Praveen Kumar directed the officials to follow guidelines and prepare special plan for dumping yard maintenance as per the directives of the National Green Tribunal.
