Sand depots to be set up at places far from sand reaches: Collector R Muthyala Raju

Eluru: The district administration has decided to set up sand depots at places far from sand reaches. The depots will come up at Eluru, Bhimavaram, Tadepalligudem, Palakol and other places.

Announcing this at a review meeting, Collector R Muthyala Raju instructed the officials to store sand at stock point by increasing the acquired quantity. By shifting the sand from reaches to the newly opened depots, it would be easy for people to get the sand in required quantity without any delay. He asked the officials to identify new reaches to improve the stock position.
