Spandana at Muncipal Corporation Tirupati: Several complaints received on drainage problems
Commissioner receives several petitions about overflowing manholes and blockades of underground drainage lines
Tirupati: Many people complained against underground drainage blockades and other related problems during Spandana programme held by Municipal Commissioner P S Girisha here on Monday.
As part of the programme the MCT Commissioner received complaints from public at his chambers from 10 am to 1pm. Majority number of complaints relate to underground drainage repairs, especially manholes overflowing and blockades.
Complaints were also received with regard to frequent absence of door to door garbage collection boys. Other type of complaints relate to encroachments of road side platforms by small pushcart vendors.
Similarly at Sub Collector Office, RDO Kanaka Narasa Reddy received petitions regarding land disputes and issuing of pattas for agricultural lands.
At Tirupati Urban District Police Office, SP Dr Gaja Rao Bhupal received complaints from people on various grievances and directed the CIs concerned for taking action on the grievances.
