Associations are important in the film industry. It is not uncommon for production houses to retain a team for as long as they can. While the star cast may change, the back end team of cinematography, choreography, music composition etc usually go on for longer tenures.
One such producer was Katragadda Murari, whose 76th birthday it is today. He produced 10 fillms between 1978-1990, having started with K Viswanath and continuing his association in films directed by big names like Singeetam Srinivasa Rao, Dasari Narayana Rao, K Raghavendra Rao, Jandhyala, Kodi Ramakrishna and Kodandarami Reddy.
The stars who were featured in his films were Sobhan Babu, Krishnam Raju, Balakrishna, Venkatesh and Nagarjuna. Interestingly, all his films had a musical score only by K V Mahadevan, popularly known as 'Mama' in the film circles of south India. The notable films include ' Gorintaku', 'Srinivasa Kalyanam', 'Nari Nari Naduma Murari' etc.
