Psychology Lab inaugurated in Hyderabad
Psychology (The Scientific study of behaviour and mental processes) Laboratory has been set up and inaugurated at Gandhi School of Humanities and Social Sciences of GITAM Deemed-to-be University, Hyderabad on Wednesday.
Hyderabad: Psychology (The Scientific study of behaviour and mental processes) Laboratory has been set up and inaugurated at Gandhi School of Humanities and Social Sciences of GITAM Deemed-to-be University, Hyderabad on Wednesday. GITAM, Hyderabad Pro Vice-Chancellor formally inaugurated the lab by ribbon cutting ceremony in the presence of DVVSR Varma, Resident Director, Prof A Sreeram, Director, Student Affairs and Prof Y Prabhavati, In-charge Principal, GSHS and HoD, Department of English.
In his inaugural speech, Pro VC said that, counselling need has been increasing for the teenage students while the hormones are playing major role in psychology. He wished that this lab will go to a recognised one in the years to come.
Dr Ch Kavya, Assistant Professor, Psychology in her valedictory speech said that the lab has facilities like Tachistoscope, Electric Memory Drum, Seguim Form Board, Mirror Drawing Apparatus, Muller-Lyer Illusion with stand and Raven's Standard Progressive Matrices etc. They are also planning to procure more types of equipment and also planning to organise a workshop on suicide prevention, she added.
