Oxford dictionaries distributed to students

Kurnool: As part of Jagananna Vidya Kanuka dictionaries were distributed to 360 students on Thursday. According to Vijayamma, the headmistress of Zillah Parishad High School located near Military colony, the government has sanctioned Oxford discrionaries to distribute to the students. As many as 360 students pursuing education in various classes have been given. Students should learn at least 20 meanings a day. It will improve the standard of English and vocubalary of the students as well, stated Vijayamma. She also said to utilize the government-sponsored Vidya Kanuka scheme.

Anantapur News: The office of the District Medical and Health under the National Health Mission is calling for applications from prospective doctors for the posts of clinical psychologists and clinical psychiatrists and dental technicians. The candidates can attend walk-in interview during August 19 to 21. Application can be downloaded from the DMHO website.

Anantapur News: Rural Development Trust, an NGO engaged in the development and upliftment of the weaker sections, is conducting a common entrance test to select students for its education scholarship to the poor and economically backward sections on August 22 spread in 17 examination centres in the district. As many as 2600 students applied for the education scholarship. The examination will be on subjects in 10th class. Besides the Anantapur district, other examination centres include Kurnool and Adoni.

No water supply in Kakinada today

Kakinada: Kakinada Municipal Corporation Superintending Engineer PVV Satyanarayana Raju said that KMC will not supply drinking water to Vidyut Nagar Reservoir areas (47,48 and 49 divisions) on Thursday evening as interconnection would be given to the new pumping line with D pumping line.
