Amberpet: Malathi, a poor woman from Turabnagar whose both kidneys were damaged, was helped by Hanuman Youth Association by donating Rs 25,000 to her. The amount was collected by the association to provide financial assistance to the ailing woman.

Amberpet MLA Kaleru Venkatesh added Rs 25,000 to the amount as his personal contribution and handed over a cheque of Rs 50,000 to the ailing woman here on Monday.

Speaking on the occasion, the MLA expressed his happiness over the noble gesture from Hanuman Youth Association and praised the association for helping the poor woman. He assured of possible help from government as well. He urged people to come forward to help the ailing woman.

Sriramulu Mudhiraj, representative of the youth association, said that the association has been serving people with the assistance from Amberpet residents for the last 20 years and would continue to do social service in future.

Among those who were present at the program include G Srinivas, Narahari, Dharayobu, Shiva Murthy, Prasad Raju, Gyaneshwar, Venkat, Nagesh and others.
