Say no petrol bunk on Osmania University land: Alakunta to KTR
Local corporator Alakunta Saraswati on Wednesday submitted a representation to TRS Working President K Taraka Rama Rao here on Thursday urging him not to give permission to set up a petrol bunk on the Osmania University land near Manikeshwarnagar.

She informed KTR that a foundation has been already laid on the land for a hospital but the OU officials were blocking its allotment to the hospital. They had now given it for setting up a petrol bunk. Saraswati contended that location of petrol bunk would lead to communal problems.
The corporator stated that residents of Manikeswarnagar would face problems in the event of OU students calling for bandhs and agitations. She pleaded with KTR for cancelling the permission to the petrol bunk and, instead, allowing it for the construction of a hospital.
