Shalibanda Govt school celebrates Teachers Day grandly
On the occasion of Teachers Day and 131th birth anniversary of Former President of India, 'Bharat Ratna' Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, was celebrated at Government Girls High School in Shalibanda on Thursday.
Shalibanda: On the occasion of Teachers Day and 131th birth anniversary of Former President of India, 'Bharat Ratna' Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, was celebrated at Government Girls High School in Shalibanda on Thursday.
Telangana State Youth Congress spokesperson S P Kranthi Kumar also participated in the celebrations and paid rich floral tributes at portrait of Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, along with teachers. He recalled Sarvepalli's remarkable services to the nation as a philosopher and statesman, who also held office twice as Vice-President of India and later went on to become the second President of India.
Later, Kumar felicitated the school headmaster and Mathematics teacher S Maithri, who had bagged District Level Best Teacher Award. School teachers C H Vasantha, Sai Baba, Sreevati Sreenath, Rama Subbarao, Vani Vijayalakshmi, Radhika Reddy, Manjula and students of school participated in the programme.
