Nannaya University was selected for 'National Best NSS Indira Gandhi Award' and the award will be presented to the university in a function scheduled to be held on September 5th in New Delhi.
According to university vice-chancellor professor Murru Mutyala Naidu the award was given only for three universities in Andhra Pradesh, Odisha and Gujarat states in the country. Nannaya university is the only one in South India which bagged the award.
Nannaya university has received three state level awards for its NSS activities. Union Ministry for Sports gave a statement in this regard, he added.
