DSP Ramana Kumar told media persons that the accused, Shiva Reddy of Pulakurti in Kodumuru mandal had indulged in several crimes including chain-snatching cases in Kurnool, Anantapuram, Mahabubnagar districts during the last few months.
He said that the 25-year old accused had snatched the gold chains in one, three and four town police station limits and stole a motorcycle too.
The DSP said that several theft cases had been pending in the police stations of Kurnool, Orvakallu, Gutthi, Wanaparthy, Kodumuru. He complimented the CI Keshava Reddy, SI Nagalakshmaiah and other police personnel for apprehending the accused. Two Town CI Babu Prasad, Three Town CI Ghouse, Traffic CI Vinod Kumar, One Town CI Srinivasulu were present.
